"Recent years have seen significant advances in the technology of simulation and their increasingly wide applications. In many of the specialist fields of simulation we continue to witness exciting new developments. In accordance with its aims of promoting the arts and sciences of simulation, the Royal Aeronautical Society Flight Simulation Group's Spring Conference will focus on examining current technology trends, their effect on the engineering of future simulators and their influence on future training philosophies. Military training has been dramatically enhanced in the past decade, aided considerably by advances in technology. This trend is likely to continue, the main impediment to development and deployment probably being constraints on defence budgets."--Welcome screen.
