Summary: "This year the conference came back to Europe and was held at Bonn, Germanyon September 22-26, 1998. It was attended by over two hundred physicists from thirty countries. From the growing range of topics that bear upon our understanding of the strong, weak and electromagnetic interactions of hadrons and their constituents we selected eight: Baryon and Meson Spectroscopy, Chiral Physics, Heavy Quarks, Deep Inelastic Scattering, Form Factors and Exclusive Processes, Hadron-Nucleon Interaction, Hadrons in Nuclear Medium, and Special Topics in the First and Second Resonance. Two distinguished experts in each area served as convenors to organize the invited talks and some 130 contributions into topical sessions. At the beginning of each plenary session one of the convenors gave an introduction and overview. In a closing session, 'hot topics' in neutrino physics were presented, and W. Weise gave the summary talk."--Foreword.
